Welcome to Bugby Bread!
Why do I bake bread? It started when I realized bread from the store was not very healthy and didn’t really taste very good. Take a look at the label below from a loaf of bread from the bakery at a local supermarket:

Since I had sandwiches every day at work for lunch, I decided I needed a more healthy, tasty alternative. When I saw the above label, I knew I could do better myself.
So I bought a book and started out on a new adventure. I found it was fun, was actually relaxing and it became a hobby, with one major problem – I couldn’t eat all the bread I wanted to make, so I decided to start selling it. That was back in 2017 and I haven’t stopped since.
So what is “bugby”? This is my nickname formed from my initials BGB and started many years ago. I can tell you the full story if you ever have a couple of hours to kill. My wife is known to many as “Mrs. Bugby”.

This is a hobby. Due to the time required, I only bake on the weekends (I DO have a real job!), typically on Sundays so they are fresh for Monday. If I happen to be out of town, have company or something comes up, I may not bake on a given weekend. But if I have orders, I will always let you know in advance if there will be a delay. I appreciate getting orders by Saturday morning so I can get to the markets if I need to purchase anything beforehand.

I make my breads from whole grains and simple ingredients. I grind most of my own flour and it might take a little getting used to, as the resulting breads can be a bit grainy with a fine texture to them. None of that styrofoam, tasteless bread here!
